The Ratzingers

This was (ironically enough) commissioned
by an undisclosed catholic very dear to me, who
most certainly will burn in Hell for it. I,
however, was only following orders.....

Pretty sharp but the double nazi and singing together is two points you`re makin. Rat singers, theyre rats, they sing and theyre nazi people. Might`ve been sharper if its a single point being ratzinger being a rat hiding his nazi past or whatever.

Loved it either way, drawing wise its great.

Is the rest of the world not picking enough on you for butchering all the indians...geez, you freakin cowboys... you probably need to realize, that there will never be an american pope...thank god for not having such a retard like g.w.bush as a pope...ugh !

dude

really great artwork and all

but the message is really dumb
sorry the words man
but it really is

yes, he was in the hitler youth
but didnt you go to elementary school too ?
why ? - because everybody tells you to and because its cumpulsory

every single german that age was in the hitler youth
but not every german that age is a nazi and will burn in hell

Dont get me wrong.
I am not a catholic curch goer, nor am i some sort of foreign people hater of any sort, but thats VERY VERY bad taste !
and coming from me who usually likes bad taste if it has some sort of level - that means quite something.

calling someone a nazi may not be a THAT bad in the US
but its one of the worst things ever you can call a german who is actually not a nazi - just be aware of that.

JJ: Wow, you really got me there....

Kris: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
I thought the pope was supposed to be a good man (even infallible, some would argue). Forgive me, but I think it would be in bad taste NOT to bring this up.

true - but is he a nazi because he didnt verifiable, publicly oppose the nazis ?

could he have done more ?
yes.
But i am certain that he was everything but a nazi.
Nothing that he ever wrote or said, or nothing that others who know the time or him first hand ever wrote or said implied something about him beeing even remotely close to a nazi sympathizer.
In fact the opposite is the case.

yes, he could have done more.
and yes that would have made a better picture for a pope.
but that does not make him a nazi.
Not beeing a verifiable hero doesnt make you a bad person.

i do understand what you and/or your client were going for with this picture.

But i think its unjust and VERY offending.
Just because he now became the pope it doesnt mean one can throw things at him and call him the worst things on earth.

again i am not a pope lover or anything close to a religious fanatic.
I think religion is somehting VERY dangerous and something that was used to kill millions of people.

but calling the pope a nazi . . . . thats just not right.

but maybe thats just me

Kris, I take your point.
Would calling him a genocidal lunatic be OK for you, then, given his (and the church's) stance on birth control alone? The church's conscious spreading of misinformation about contraception in the name of some ancient superstition has killed thousands and thousands of people of AIDS and further impoverished many more due to unwanted pregnancies.
I think you will agree that the church has much blood on their hands (let's not even talk about the Crusades!).
The image was meant to revoke the sense that there are many similarities between fascism and religion. A cheap-shot in the sense of personal attack on Ratzy perhaps, but not against the church as an institution, who throughout history has purposely kept people in the darkness about so many things (The Catholic church as a whole had a pretty well documented and questionable relationship to the anti-Semitic sentiment during the war if you remember).
Anyway, I do see your point and I thank you for caring.
We are passionate because we care.
I hope you see my point as well.

no issues with that one

religions have killed and still killing more people than probably both worldwars.

the catholic church probably beeing in the top3 there

on the other hand do not forget about the priests that do good
about the ones that get killed for doing it.

well . . . . . . .
i get your point - you get mine
done
