Over the Hedge 11

Copyright DreamWorks Animation

Here's the final approved full body of Vincent.
If I find them, I'll post my orthographic "blueprints"
that I did for modeling based on these final designs.

This is fantastic- looks like you've done your research and got to know exactly what these grizzlies look like: then had fun with it and moved as far from it as you could, resulting in a fabulous design that looks nothing like a bear and at the same time is the best bear drawing anyone ever saw! whoohoo!

Thanks,all!
Boris, I think it was more fun than research, honestly. If you want to check out some heavily researched bear designs, go visit my good friend Rune Bennicke's website. His work on Brother Bear as both Chief Character Designer and Supervising Animator of Koda's Mom (the real Grizzly bear) is simply stunning. His work is always inspiring to me. Makes Vincent look like Goofy...

Hey Jakob,

I love the design and shape of this bear!! It's toony, but still very bear-like, I think because it looks so heavy and the anatomy seems realistic. I especially like the shape of the arms/front legs.
Great stuff as always!

...og saa lige lidt Dansk:)
Jeg gaar ud fra at du er helt faerdig med "Flushed Away" nu, men hvad er det naeste project for dig, "Kung-Fu Panda"?

Heps,

Hans
